Oh so crafty house wife

So I know, two posts in one day, BUT I have to show the beautiful thing I sewed today.

I went grocery shopping today and then realized that oh we don't have anything to hold grocery bags. Growing up my mom had one of those cylinder elastic bag holders so I figured well it can't be too hard to make. And really it wasn't. I found the tutorial here:

So credit to her. For me it took a lot longer than 20 minutes, but that was because I was watching Harry Potter at the same time and got distracted often.

Anyways, you can't really tell from this picture but I got a really cute fabric from Hobby Lobby that is white and has teal, coral, and gold little triangles on it. Then for the hook I used a ribbon that is teal with little gold arrows.

This was also the first time I got to use my brand new sewing machine (pictured above). It's a Brother limited edition Project Runway sewing machine so I get to pretend I'm on one of my favorite shows when I sew. Shout out to my awesome Grandma who got this for me as an early Christmas present.
